Charaxes opinatus is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found in western Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kivu).[2] The habitat consists of montane forests.

The larvae feed on Caesalpinia species.

Taxonomy

Charaxes opinatus is a member of the large species group Charaxes etheocles.
