Oh Andha Naatkal (English: Oh, those days) is an unreleased Tamil romantic comedy feature film written and directed by James Vasanthan. The film features actresses Khushbu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Urvashi and Suhasini in the leading roles. This is the first time that these 80's super queens are sharing screen space with each other in their long and illustrious careers.[1]

Production

In September 2017, James Vasanthan announced that he would make a film featuring actresses Kushboo, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Urvashi and Suhasini in the leading roles. Completing the script, getting call sheets of the four busy stars, finalizing the locations in Melbourne and few other things took some time. The film commenced its shoot in Melbourne, Australia.[2][3] Latha Hegde, previously seen in a couple of Kannada films, also joined the cast and shoot for the film in Melbourne during.[4] Certain scenes of the film required to be shot in and around Avalon Airport, while the film would feature the first Australian Rules Football scenes in an Indian film for the first time. In November 2016, James Vasanthan revealed that the four actresses would play characters from their yesteryear films, who would re-embark on a trip to Australia. Suhasini's Sindhu from Sindhu Bhairavi (1985), Raadhika's Radha from Rettai Vaal Kuruvi (1987), Urvashi's Thiripurasundari from Michael Madana Kama Rajan (1990) and Kushboo's Meena from Mannan (1992) would be the characters reprised.[5]

The music of Oh Andha Naatkal, composed by James Vasanthan and lyrics by Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi, Mohanrajan, Arun Karnan, Koushik Balaji is soon to be released. A club track "Madras enna Melbourne enna" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sudtnqlbKuM) is released as a Lyric video recently and has been climbing charts. An Indian classical track "Ini oru thollayum illai", a poem of Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi, which is a forgotten genre these days in Tamil films is going to be an attention-seeking track sung by the legend K.S. Chitra and the debutant Karthika Vaidyanathan.
