Sonam Lamba is an Indian television actress who is best known for her portrayal of Vidya in the show “Saath Nibhana Saathiya”.

Personal life

Sonam was born in Chandigarh, India on 26 February 1995, to a Hindu family.[citation needed]

Career

Sonam made her television debut in “Desh Ki Beti Nandini”,[1] playing the role of Ritu Pandey.

Sonam is most well known for her role as Vidya Shravan Suryavanshi in “Saath Nibhana Saathiya”, which she played from 2015 to 2017, when the show came to an end. In this role, Sonam portrayed the grown up Vidya, child of Gopi and Ahem Modi, following the 10 year leap that the show took.[2]

In 2018, it was reported that Sonam was to play the character of “Meethi” in Sony Entertainment Television’s “Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya”, with Sonam herself confirming the reports,[3] however, she later changed her mind about taking up this role, due to changes in the creative track ahead that had been made after the character narration.[4]
