This article is about the member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. For his son, also a member of the Louisiana Public Service Commission, see John F. Schwegmann.

John Gerald Schwegmann (August 12, 1911 – 1995)[1] was an American businessman, a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, and a member of the Louisiana Public Service Commission.[2] In 1971, he unsuccessfully ran for Governor of Louisiana.[2] Additionally, he founded Schwegmann Bank & Trust Co.[2]
