Malikipuram is a town and a mandal headquarters in East Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Amalapuram revenue division.[1][2]

Malikipuram, the mandal's main town, is located 73.7 km from the district's main city, Kakinada, and 370 km from the state capital, Hyderabad.

Sri Mudunuri Soma Sundara Sekhara Bhupala Raju Garu was the first Zamindar of Malikipuram with more than 100 acres of land. He donated many acres of land for the establishment of a school, college and hospital in Malikipuram. He contested for president post in Malikipuram in the 1950s and 60s. His family members used to have imported cars and bikes and gold in hundreds of kgs in those days. Panduvva Zamindar - Sri Vegesna Kanaka Raju Garu, former TTD chairman was his brother-in-law.

Gudapalli is a village 7 km away from Razole, on the way towards Karavaka. The village is mainly dependent on agriculture, coir industries, and coconut business. Its population as of January 2008 was more than 8000. In recent years villagers have become interested in moving their children’s education forward. Many people study technical courses; some of them have become software professionals, among other fields.

Thurpupalem is a village near the Bay of Bengal and the Godavari River. It has green fields and tall coconut trees. Several cultures exist there. Malikipuram mandal has a coastal line of 14 km from Chintalamori to Karavaka.

Dindi is a village on the banks of one of the tributaries of the Godavari River. It is a beautiful village with coconut palms swaying in winds. There are tourism resorts along the river. Boat facilities are available in Dindi resorts. It is about 12 km from Palacol, the nearest railway station. Dindi can also be accessed from Razole, Malikipuram and Narsapur. Dindi is one place where the river view can be enjoyed from the Balayogi Bridge, named after the first Dalit Speaker of India. Dindi is dotted with small huts of farmers, who till the land for growing rice all through the year. The only colour which is visible is all hues of green.

Mattaparru is a beautiful village with prolific coconut trees and paddy fields. Tollywood director Sukumar is from Mattaparru village.

A bus facility is available for this mandal from Razole, Amalapuram. Malkipuram is 10 km from Razole, 12 km from Narsapur after crossing the river, 20 km from Palkole, and 90 km from district headquarters Kakinada. The nearest railway station is Palkole and Narsapur. A beautiful church is there in jillella vari peta, that is SDA church.

Mori is a small village approximately 2 miles southeast of Malikipuram. The name is derived from "Mohari", which is a type of gold coin belonging to a Muslim invader. Mori is mainly known for rice/shrimp/coconut farming as well as handlooming and cashew nut processing. Like Mattaparru, it is beautifully encompassed with coconut trees and paddy fields.

The village of Kesanapalli is located 70.6 km from the district's main city, Kakinada. It is located 379 km from Hyderabad. Its economy is dependent on agriculture, especially coconut trees and paper trees. A syndicate bank is available in the main center of Kesanapalli.

Tourist spots near Malikipuram

Antarvedi, in terms of geographical surface area, covers about 4 square miles (6.4 km2). The village contains the Lord Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple, located opposite Vasishta Godavari. A launch pad allows visitors to land on the small island at the other side of the Godavari River - from this point, travel can then be undertaken to the convergence point of the river and the ocean.

Dindi Resort: The Godavari River island supports acres of coconut groves.

Samudra Beach Resort: Samudra Beach Resort is located at a stone's throw distance from GAIL, located in Odalarevu, nearly 22 km from Amalapuram town, East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh.
