Birsingha is a large village located in Ghatal Block of Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal. Birsingha village is famous for the birth place of the great Bengali social reformer and the author of Varna Parichay Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.[1]

The 2011 population was 3,026, across 651 families, with 1,588 males and 1,438 females.
