Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf was a Pakistani politician and businessman who was the founder of Ashraf Sugar Mills and Ashraf Coal Mines.[1]

Early life

He was born in a well-known family in Challianwala, Mandi Bahauddin District. His uncle Chaudhry Rehmat Ali was a close associate of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.[2]

He was the father of former Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Zaka Ashraf.[1]

Political career

He became member of Senate of Pakistan as the candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.[2]

Death

He died in November 1983.[3]
