The Council on the Ageing (COTA) provides leadership in social policy and community information and education for all older persons in and Australia.

COTA has member organisations in each of the eight Australian states and territories.

Functions

  • Policy development, representation and advocacy
  • Brokering, referring, collaborating, coordinating, and networking among seniors organisations and services to seniors
  • Informing and educating older persons and all those concerned with their welfare.

COTA works with government, business, the media and the wider community.
