Eliezer Toledano (Hebrew: אליעזר טולדנו; born 1973) is an Israeli Brigadier general (Tat Aluf) who served as the Military Secretary to the Prime Minister.[1]

Military career

Toledano was drafted into the IDF in 1991. He volunteered as a paratrooper in the Paratroopers Brigade. He served as a soldier and a squad leader. In 1990 he became an infantry officer after completing Officer Candidate School and return to the Paratroopers Brigade as a platoon leader. Toledano served as 890 "Efe" (Echis) paratroop battalion Executive officer during Operation Defensive Shield, led 101st "Peten" (Elapidae) paratroop battalion in counter-terror operations during the Second Intifada. Later on he commanded Maglan Unit in the 2006 Lebanon War, including in Operation Beach Boys. Afterwards he served as the Executive officer of the Judea and Samaria Division and as the commander of a Reserve Paratroopers Brigade.[2] During Operation Protective Edge Toledano commanded the 35th Paratroopers Brigade.[3] Afterwards he was appointed as the Military Secretary to the Prime Minister.[4]

In October, 2018, he was named commander of the IDF's Gaza Division.[5]
