Bandits is a 1982 fixed shooter written for the Apple II and published by Sirius Software. The game is a clone of Taito's 1980 Stratovox arcade game. Bandits was ported to the Atari 8-bit family,[2] Commodore 64, and VIC-20.

Gameplay

Various types of invaders (bandits) from a mothership enter the screen in waves, and the player's job is to shoot them using his spaceship at the bottom of the screen. If invaders reach the bottom right part of the screen, then they will steal an item each. The player can activate a shield which makes the spaceship invulnerable for a limited time.

The 28 levels loop, so the game is endless if the player does not run out of lives.
