Luciana Alone Pereira (born 28 February 1993)[1] is a Brazilian singer and songwriter. Her career began in gospel music in the Crianças Diante do Trono. In 2010, she released her first album, Lu Alone. In 2011, Alone recorded the American film Destiny Road.
Biography
2001–2011: Early life and career
Daughter of Branca and Ian Alone,[2] the four-year-old was invited to sing in the infanto juvenil choir of a church, the Lagoinha Church, where Lu Alone participated in the recordings of CD's and DVD's of the Diante do Trono.
Initially released their music independently on Web sites such as YouTube and MySpace. Through a competition of MySpace, called Musificando, he met British producer Stuart Epps, who made the invitation to Lu Alone to record an album in England, but at the direction of his father, the singer gave up.[citation needed]
When she was recording a demo CD, she was introduced to an agent of Som Livre.[3] With producer Rubens di Souza, recorded in 2010, the thirteen-song Lu Alone, all sung in English. The album was released on 9 March.[citation needed] In May of the same year it debuted an eponymous reality show in Multishow channel. The program followed every step of the singer, from recording until the release of their first album.[4] Also in May, she opened the Demi Lovato concert in São Paulo, at Via Funchal. The single "Not The Right Day" had about 000,000 downloads in Brazil.[citation needed]
2011–2012: Destiny Road and new singles
In 2011 she was record the American film Destiny Road, where she plays Lucy, the Elizabeth best friend (Zoe Myers). It has been released sneak peek of the movie.[5][6]
Lu Alone recorded a new album in Rio de Janeiro which was released in 2012. The new album, different from the first, has songs in Portuguese. The singer released the first single, "Tudo Pra Mim", on 1 September 2011. In 2012, the singer participated in the Criança Esperança event, on 20 August 2011, where the singer sang with some other artists at the party.[citation needed]
On 1 September 2011, the first single, "Tudo Pra Mim", was made available one the artist's website.[citation needed] In the first minutes after making available the music, the site went offline because of the large number of hits.[citation needed] Five days after the debut single, Lu Alone joined the five competing for best singer of Multishow Award, competing with Ivete Sangalo, Paula Fernandes among others, she ended up losing, but entered the global trends topics, from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, on Twitter with the hashtag #LuAlone.[citation needed]
2012-present: Leaving the secular music to devote to the Christian community
In 2012, Lu Alone participated in the "Confrajovem" of the Lagoinha Church, where she said she is back to the gospel, leaving the secular music to devote to the Christian community. Lu is part of the evangelical movement Escolhi Esperar.[citation needed]
The following year, in September 2013, Lu Alone was studying at Christ For The Nations Institute (CFNI) in Dallas, which is a great school how worship leaders from around the world.[7] On Valentine's Day, Lu Alone released a special single called "À Moda Antiga".[citation needed]
During June and July 2014, Lu Alone was invited to participate in the tour of the band Diante do Trono in Europe, the band led by singer Ana Paula Valadão is known internationally as the main worship ministry in Latin America.[8] Lu was born in a Christian home and had been part of Diante do Trono as a child. Lu Alone, in August 2014, participated in the choir of the recording of the album Deus Reina of Diante do Trono in partnership with the American Christian band Gateway Worship.[9]
In April 2015, Lu attended the fashion show stylist Patrícia Motta in Minas Trend, known as the main fashion event in Brazil, where she sang during the show.[10][11][12]
