The Way of Queen is the eighth extended play and first soundtrack album by Puerto Rican reggaetón singer-songwriter Ivy Queen. It was released on July 17, 2020 by NKS Music.
It serves as the soundtrack for the documentary of the same name, which was released simultaneously with the album on YouTube.
The release was supported by two singles, "La Roca" and "Un Baile Mas."
Background
The YouTube documentary,[1] "The Way of Queen" was released on July 17, 2020, documenting Queen's 2019 arrival in Mexico, including her promotional media tour and live performance in the country.[2]
Release and promotion
The original version of "Por Mi" was released as a single on June 7, 2018.[3] The official music video was released the same day, having attained over three million views.[4]
Reception
Jesusa Roiz, writing for Billboard included the release of the documentary as one of five uplifting moments for the week of July 18, 2020.[5]
