The NEWS Magazine is formerly a daily printed newspaper. In 2005, it established magazine and online content published by Independent Communications Network Limited (ICNL) in Lagos, Nigeria.[1]

History

The newspapers was founded in 1989 by six journalists and magazine ambassadors together with four amongst founded the P.M News in 1994 all published by ICNL. TheNews started its online magazine content in 2005 before then ICNL, P.M News is a partner publish of TheNews magazine with some of it weekly content published in P.M News.[2]

Daily prints

On the 27 of April 2015 TheNews newspaper changed from a daily to monthly printed paper with all non-papers content online due to the revenue stands and became online three weeks after the evening collaborative publication P.M News end its daily printing to started weekly printout.[3][4]

2019 Clash with Senator Sani

The newspaper had a clash with senator representing Kaduna central Shehu Sani for 5 million naira he supposed to settled the Independent Communication Network Limited on an advert and the news site write on to the senate president Bukola Saraki, a department that influence since 2018.[5][6]
