Jamal Musiala (born 26 February 2003) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for German club Bayern Munich II. Born in Germany, Musiala currently represents the England U17s internationally.
Early Life
Musiala was born in the German city of Fulda, but then moved to England where he spent most of his childhood.[2] He went to primary school at Corpus Christi school in New Malden.[3] For secondary school he went to Whitgift in Croydon.[4] He was in the Chelsea academy for most of his childhood years.[5]
Club career
In July 2019, aged 16, Musiala left Chelsea to join Bayern Munich.[1] On 3 June 2020, Musiala made his professional debut, coming on as a substitute for Bayern Munich II in their 3–2 win over Preußen Münster in the 3. Liga.[6] On 20 June 2020, he made his Bundesliga debut against Freiburg, and he became the youngest player to play a match for Bayern in the Bundesliga.[7][8]
International career
Musiala was born in Germany to a Nigerian father and German mother. He moved to England at a young age, and back to Germany as a teenager.[9] Musiala has represented both England and Germany at youth international level.[1][10]
