Dave Marshall is a guitarist who has performed with Pair A Dice, Fiona, Vince Neil, and Slaughter. He is a member of the Nashville-based band Scrap Metal.[1]
Early life and career
Dave Marshall moved to Hollywood, California from Eau Claire Wisconsin in the mid 80s to attend GIT (Musicians Institute) He joined local band Micky Knight and replaced guitar player Mark Knight who went on to start Bang Tango. He joined Pair A Dice[2] in 1987 a Sunset Strip Local favorite with Billy D'Vette, Paul Lancia, Nick Masella & Daz Bash the band toured Japan in 1989 with Jet Boy. Dave and Billy D'Vette appeared in a Miller Light "Taste Great Less Filling" commercial that aired in the 1989 Super Bowl. After a short time in Brunette he paired up with Fiona to record the album Squeeze.
In 1993 he w joined the Vince Neil's (Mötley Crüe) solo band featuring Steve Stevens, Robbie Crane and Vik Foxx and toured with Van Halen.[3] In 1995 he toured with Slaughter, filling-in for guitarist Tim Kelly, due to legal problems. He also toured with Slaughter in 1998 after Tim Kelly died, performing in Japan, Mexico, and in the US. He also performed on the Michael Jackson History tour (1996–1998). Dave started working as a Musical Director on major tours. When not playing, Dave is a highly regarded guitar tech having served a wide array of legendary guitar players like Peter Frampton, James Burton, Eddie VanHalen, Nine Inch Nails and more.[4]

Gear
