Noklak is the youngest and the 12th District of Nagaland, located in the easternmost part of India. Noklak district is the headquarter of Khiamniungan Naga tribe in the Indian state of Nagaland.
History
Noklak district was created on 21 December 2017, previously having been a sub-district of Tuensang district.[2]
Demographics
As of 2011[update] the 2011 census Noklak HQ had a population of 7,674, of which 48% were female, and where the literacy rate was 83%. 20% were children aged 6 or less.[1]
Administration
The head of the administration is the office of Deputy Commissioner and Superentendent of Police.[3]
