DXNS (102.3 FM), on-air as 102.3 Bee FM, is an FM radio station owned and operated by Northern Mindanao Broadcasting System, and is one of the affiliates of the Magic Nationwide network. The station's studio and transmitter are located at 4th Flr., L.T. & Sons Bldg., Montilla Blvd., Butuan.[1][2]

History

In the turn of the new millennium, a new radio station started broadcasting in Butuan City that was made possible between a partnership of St. Joseph Institute of Technology (SJIT) under Northern Mindanao Broadcasting System (NMBS) and Quest Broadcasting. Thus, Killer Bee 102.3 FM was born. This upscale radio station continued airing from 2000–2008.[3]

In the latter part of 2008, the radio station was renamed Caraga's Hit Radio 102.3, but this lasted only for two years. In 2010, ten years after its beginning, it was again reverted to its original name, Killer Bee 102.3. This, however, only lasted for four years since the mother company, Quest Broadcasting decided to rename and launch a localized, market-focused radio station.
