Hemosiderin staining around and above the ankle as an outcome of chronic hypertension.

Hemosiderin hyperpigmentation is pigmentation due to deposits of hemosiderin, and occurs in purpura, haemochromotosis, hemorrhagic diseases, and stasis dermatitis.[1]: 853
