The 2003 Sacramento State Hornets football team represented Sacramento State University[note 1] during the 2003 NCAA Division I-AA football season.

Sacramento State competed in the Big Sky Conference. The Hornets were led by first-year head coach Steve Mooshagian and played home games at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California. They finished the season with a record of two wins and nine losses (2–9, 1–6 Big Sky). Sacramento State was outscored by its opponents 237–332 for the season.
