Administrative parts

Village of Annín is an administrative part of Tovačov.

History

Tovačov is the site of a minor battle in the Austro-Prussian War. On 16 July 1866, the Prussians defeated the Austrians in the Battle of Tobitschau. The Austrians had been retreating south after their defeat at the Battle of Königgrätz on 3 July, and the fresh defeat at Tobitschau forced them to turn east instead.
