Winchester is a small town in the South-Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island.
State Highway 1 and the Main South Line railway pass through Winchester.[1]
Education
Winchester Rural School is a year 1-6 primary school with a roll of 145 students.[2]
Waihi Boys' Preparatory School is an Anglican private year 1-8 full primary boys' school with a roll of 121 students.[2] The school was established in 1907 and is governed by the Waihi School Trust.[3]
