Hekuran Kryeziu (born 12 February 1993) is an professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Swiss club Zürich and the Kosovo national team. He previously played for Switzerland national under-21 football team.

Early life

Kryeziu was born in Luzern, Switzerland from Kosovo Albanian parents from Gjilan.

Club career

Luzern

Kryeziu began his career in the youth teams of Luzern in 2004, when he was only 11 years old. After spending several years in the youth sector, he became part of the first team of Luzern in 2011. During the 2014–15 season was loaned to the Vaduz.[clarification needed].

Zürich

On 31 May 2018, Kryeziu signed to Swiss Super League side Zürich and signed a 3 year contract.[1] On 22 July 2018, he made his debut in a 2–1 home win against Thun after being named in the starting line-up.

International career

Switzerland

Under-18

On 15 September 2010. Kryeziu making his debut with Switzerland U18 in a friendly match against Belgium U18 after coming on as a substitute at 73rd minute in place of Alessandro Martinelli.[clarification needed]

Under-19

On 3 September 2011. Kryeziu making his debut with Switzerland U19 in a friendly match against Northern Ireland U19 after being named in the starting line-up.[clarification needed]

Under-20

On 5 September 2012. Kryeziu making his debut with Switzerland U20 in a friendly match against Poland U20 after coming on as a substitute at 67th minute in place of Remo Freuler.[clarification needed]

Under-21

On 6 February 2013. Kryeziu making his debut with Switzerland U21 in a friendly match against Slovakia U19 after being named in the starting line-up.[clarification needed]

Kosovo

On 10 November 2015. Kryeziu received a call-up from Kosovo for a friendly match against Albania[2][3] and made his debut after coming on as a substitute at 46th minute in place of Eroll Zejnullahu.[4][5]
