Skip Kelly is a professional voice actor and American radio personality known for his voiceover work and radio shows around the country.[1][2] His voice has been heard in campaigns for brands and products like Volkswagen, Rain-X, Nabisco, Budweiser, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Disney, and Volvo. He has spent over 30 years in the broadcast industry. On the radio, he has shared the same mic as well known personalities Ryan Seacrest, Danny Bonaduce, Delilah, Matt Siegel, and Dale Dorman. He has also produced live music from Dave Matthews, Coldplay, Dido and Sarah McLachlan.[3] Skip has appeared in Billboard Magazine[4] and Teen People (magazine).
In 2001 Kelly hosted "The Movie Loft" for the UPN network,[5][6][7] one of the first "hosted movie" franchises on television long before it became a staple on cable. During that time he was a regular movie review contributor for the Boston edition of the Metro International Newspaper. He has also been a contributor to both MTV and Entertainment Tonight providing interview footage with stars like Ricky Martin, Nelly Furtado, Lionel Richie, and others.
Since 2004, Skip has been based out of his studio in Jacksonville, Florida. In October, 2017 he returned as Program Director for Top-40, 97.9 KISS FM after leaving the station in 2006. In January, 2017, Kelly launched Latin Tropical, Rumba 106.9 and took on programming responsibilities. In May 2013, Kelly took over programming duties at Adult Hits, 107.3 The River, formerly JACK fm.[8][9][10] Kelly came to iHeartMedia Jacksonville (formerly Clear Channel) in 2004 from Los Angeles, to serve as Program Director for WFKS-FM, 97.9 KISS FM. In the past, he has worked for stations such as KIIS-FM and KYSR Los Angeles,[11] KISS 108 Boston, 98PXY, Rochester, WAAF and WZOU Boston.[12][13]
