According to the legend, Lord Krishna expressed his desire to go to Gaulok himself, while ordering Uddhav to do penance in the Himalayas, and Uddhav said that I will be saved, but your pious devotees Pandavas and Sudama will hear the news of your going to Gaulok.  Will give up his life.  In such a situation, Shri Krishna made Vishwakarma himself and Balarama idols, which he gave to King Indra and said that these idols were handed over to Pandavas Yudhishthira and Sudama and tell them that both these idols are mine and I am in them.  Keep worshiping these idols with love, by doing my darshan and worship in the Kali Yuga, I will fulfill the desire of human beings.  Indra Deity provided the idol of Shri Krishna to Sudama and the Pandavas and Sudama started worshiping these idols.  Presently in Garhbor, the idol named Charbhuja ji is worshiped by Pandavas and the idol worshiped by Sudama is located in Sevantri village under the name of Rupnarayan ji.  The Pandavas are said to have submerged the idol before going to the Himalayas so that no one can ruin its sanctity.

The then Rajput ruler of Garhbor, Gangdev, came in the dream by Charbhujanath and ordered him to install the idol temple by removing it from the water.  The king did so, he got the idol obtained from water installed in the temple.  It is said that the idol has been kept submerged many times in view of the atrocities of the Mughals.  Maharana Mewar has made a huge contribution in the maintenance of the temple of Charbhujananath. Inside the main temple, pictures of Raja Maharajas of Mewar are also included. In olden times, the service of the temple also came from the worship of King Maharaja _ After this Aurangzeb.  In the Somnath Temple of Chittor, the Hindu temple was fragmented throughout India, when the idol of Lord Shree Charbhuja Nath was again entered the jail, after that the hills of Aravali were in the dense forest.  Suraji Maharaj of the Gopavans who came to graze the cow, used to feed his cow, in this hills, a cow named Ghori who lived at the back of the hill in the twilight Vela and the whole milk would fall on the ground automatically and then the cow would return to its herd.  In the evening, the calf of the cow burnt at the time of milk, then Suraji saw where the milk of the cow goes every day, then followed the cow with full attention the next day, then the cow stood behind a hill and got milk out of her udder automatically.  Felt and being pulled into the ground, then Suraji thought, Bhagav  Know what is happening, the calf of this cow is barking with hunger, is it Maya, Lord or any mistake has been made, please tell me God, then at night, Lord Shree Chaturbhuj Nath Charbhuja ji came in a dream and said, “You devotees have to serve me.  Where the cow gives milk, there is my idol below, worshiping me after getting the installation done, Suraji's eyes opened after hearing so much, as a child, Prabhu appeared in front of him and seeing Suraji ji was scared and said, how can I serve God in my service.  The cow buffalo at home keeps threads in my house every day, if I give birth to a baby buffalo, how can I do this? Prabhu said that if the devotee is in your service, then you will obey even if you do the opposite and not the cow buffalo thread  I will agree but do not keep sheep goat even today, priests of Charbhuja ji do not keep sheep goat

The tradition of Osra is such that the Osra of some families comes only once in life (from 48 to 50 years), then in a gap of four years, every Amavasya Koosra changes and the next family becomes the chief priest.  Osra was decided years ago according to the number of gotras and families, which is still going on.  No one other than the priest's family is allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

The priests remain in the temple till the Osra walks, even if there is a death in the family, the priest, who has been sitting on the roof during the hours, has to live a month's hard tenacity, dignity.  The priests cannot go home until the Osra walks, they have to stay in the temple.  Pooja has to be performed even if there is a death in family or relatives.  One month in the porch of worship, keep away from all kinds of addiction, do not apply soap on the body, perform the limits of celibacy.  In the kitchen of God, the water used in the silver vase is used by the family who plays the porch.  Water is brought in a gold urn for fifteen days at phagotsav and seven days at burning.  Charbhujananath has five darshans throughout the day.  Butter in Mangla, saffron rice, lapsi, plain rice, kasar, milk prasad and gola mishri in the Rajbhog rises.
