Bora Aksu (born in Turkey) is a London-based Turkish fashion designer.[1] Aksu set up his fashion label upon graduation from his MA at Central Saint Martins. Awarded New Generation sponsorship, he catapulted straight onto the London Fashion Week scene and has showcased his collections since 2003.[2] His collection is stocked in Selfridges, Wolf & Badger and Liberty & Co in London[3] and he has 61 stores, primarily in Asia.[4] He has also prepared seven window displays at Selfridges and is a 4 times NEWGEN recipient.[5]

Fashion journalists describe Aksu as having a dark, romantic aesthetic[6] and as being a longtime favorite of London Fashion Week.[7] In September 2020, Aksu was the first live show during London Fashion Week, and one of only four live shows held during the event that year due to the global pandemic.[8][9] Aksu says his collections are inspired by romantic women who are fragile but self-confident.[10] He enjoys painting in his free time and is a fan of the TV series Flea Bag and Killing Eve.[10]
