This is a list of Rugby league stadiums in England, ranked in descending order of capacity. It includes:

  • The stadiums of all clubs in the top three tiers of the English rugby league system. This includes, for reference, stadiums located outside England of any Welsh, French or Canadian clubs (currently 5) that compete in these top three tiers.
  • Does not include neutral venues for Challenge Cup Final, Grand Final or Magic Weekend.

Future stadiums

Stadiums which are currently in development, and are likely to open in the near future, include:

Stadium Capacity Club Notes
Five Towns Stadium c.13,300 Castleford Tigers Broke ground in May 2016 after planning permission was granted in 2011. The stadium is expected to be completed in 2019
Belle Vue (redevelopment) c.12,000 Wakefield Trinity Wakefield originally planned to build a stadium at Newmarket but funding could never be found for the project. In 2016, the club's current ground, Belle Vue, was bought by 88m Group who expressed interest in redeveloping the ground. The next year plans were unveiled for a 12,000 capacity stadium on the current site of the old one. In December 2017, Wakefield Trinity and Wakefield Council agreed on a deal that would see Belle Vue redeveloped by 2020.
New Swinton Stadium c.5,000 Swinton Lions In 2016, Swinton signed a lease on a 7.3-acre site in Agecroft to build a community stadium within three years. However, plans have been in doubt due to Swinton's financial troubles.
Whitebank Stadium (redevelopment) c.TBA Oldham RLFC In November 2016 plans were approved to add a 3G pitch to the stadium and add some other training facilities as well as office space for Oldham RLFC who also have ambitions of redeveloping the stadium to meet RFL minimum standards for the Championship and make it their permanent home.
