Niiko is a type of dance native to southern Somalia. This dance was made by Hawiye-Abgaal, although you can see it be played by Somali Bantus. The reason is because Somali Bantus assimilated with the Somali cultures in the surrounding area because they were stripped of their culture and language. [1][2][3][4]
