Sid Lee is a Canadian creative services firm based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It operates offices in Toronto, New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle and Paris. The agency offers services in the fields of branding, digital and social marketing, advertising, analytics, architecture and retail design, branded content and entertainment.

Recent developments

In 2008, Sid Lee launched its Amsterdam office in a neighborhood called De Pijp, in close proximity to Albert Cuyp Market.[1]

That same year saw the publication of Conversational Capital: How to Create Stuff People Love to Talk About by the Financial Times Press. A collaboration between Chairman Bertrand Cesvet, Vice-President of Strategy Eric Alper and Creative Director Tony Babinski. The book was intended to demonstrate Sid Lee's approach to creating word-of-mouth success stories.[2]

Following the firm's initial European foray, the firm launched its second European office in Paris in May 2009.[3] It opened its Toronto office in 2010, in 2012, a New York office, and in 2014, in Los Angeles.[4]

During the 2013 Cannes Lions Festival, the firm announced the launch of Sid Lee Entertainment, aiming at creating engaging experiences and content for its consumers.[5]

The firm was involved in the design for the marketing campaign for the Toronto Raptors in 2014.[6]

On July 6, 2015, Sid Lee was acquired by kyu,[7] the strategic operating unit of Hakuhodo DY Holdings, which is currently headed by CEO Michael Birkin.

In October 20, 2017, Sid Lee Paris bought YARD, a French branding agency.[8][9]
