Artist Dubose (born December 6, 1995), better known by his stage name A Boogie wit da Hoodie (or simply A Boogie), is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer from Highbridge, Bronx, New York City. He is perhaps best known for his breakout single "My Shit", from his debut solo mixtape Artist (2016).

Early life

Artist Dubose was born on December 6, 1995 in the Highbridge neighborhood of The Bronx, New York.[2]

Career

A Boogie released his first full-length project, a mixtape titled Artist, in February of 2016, which launched his career and was on Forbes list of up-and-coming rappers.[3] A Boogie then released a collaborative project, alongside fellow Highbridge-based rapper Don Q, titled Highbridge the Label: The Takeover Vol.1, on May 18, 2016. A Boogie went on to have three opening dates on Drake and Future's Summer Sixteen Tour.[4] He later released his first extended play (EP), titled TBA, in acronym for "The Bigger Artist".[5] The EP was issued on October 28, 2016, and peaked at number number 63 on the US Billboard 200 chart.[6]
