Abatos
Appearance
Abatos, also Abaton, was a rocky island in the Nile, Egypt near Philae, where the Egyptian priests alone were permitted to enter.[1] Abatos was mentioned by both Seneca[2] and Lucan.[3] The name was later used by astronomers for a plateau on the moon Triton.
