Aislín McGuckin is a Northern Irish actress who was born in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland in 1974. Since 2004, she has been married to actor Aidan McArdle.[1] She is best known for her role as Dr. Liz Merrick in Heartbeat and as being one of the two doctors to survive alive. She has also appeared in theatre, various minor roles in TV and films including The Nephew and The White Countess. She can currently be seen on Starz' Outlander (TV series).

Training

She studied and trained at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance, which is located in South-East London.[1]
