Akolner is a village near Ahmednager in Maharashtra, India. Akolner is 16 km far from its District Main City Ahmednagar . It is 105 km far from Pune and 189 km far from the state capital, Mumbai.

Nearby villages include Bhorwadi (3.5 km), Sarola Kasar (4.4 km), Sonewadi (5.1 km), Khandala (5.2 km), Chas (5.4 km) and Jedgaon (9 km). The nearest towns are Ahmednagar (16.2 km), Rahuri (45 km), Pathardi (58.7 km) and Nevasa (68.6 km).

It is a place of pilgrimage known for Vithoba Rukhmai temple & famous for the chariot festival (Rath Yatra) which falls on Ashadi Pornima of the Indian calendar.

The National award-winning Marathi film Fandry, released on 14 February 2014, was shot in Akolner.

Economy

Oil depots belonging to Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum are situated in the village, which is accessible by railway and by road. It is also famous for milk production, peacocks found in farms & floriculture. It is a progressive village in agriculture.

Akolner has an education facility available up to 12 std. Secondary and Higher secondary education is provided by Chatrapati Shivaji Vidyalaya, which is formed under Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Satara.

Akolner is the birthplace of Das Genu, a follower of Sai Baba of Shirdi.
