Akróasis is the fourth album by German technical death metal band Obscura. It was released on February 5, 2016.[2] A music video was released for the album's title track on November 19th, 2015.[3]

“Akroasis” landed at position #5 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. Obscura‘s previous album, “Omnivium” (2011), landed at #11 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart while “Cosmogenesis” (2009) landed at #71. Loudwire awarded "Akroasis" as "Best Metal Song of 2016" [5].
