The Akron Zips baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio, USA.[1] The team is a member of the Mid-American Conference East division, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Akron's first baseball team was fielded in 1873. The team plays its home games at Lee R. Jackson Baseball Field in Akron, Ohio. The Zips are coached by Rick Rembielak.
