Alfred Fitchett

The Very Rev. Alfred Robertson Fitchett CMG (1836-1929)[1] was the Dean of Dunedin[2] from 1894 until 1929[3]

Robertson was educated at the University of New Zealand and ordained in 1979. He was Vicar of All Saints, Dunedin until his appointment as Dean: he was also Archdeacon of Dunedin from 1915 to 1919.

His son, William Fitchett, was Bishop of Dunedin from 1934 to 1952.[4]
