Alfred John Ellis, OC (born 27 May 1915) is a Canadian retired banker.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Ellis graduated Lower Canada College in 1932. Ellis was a Vice-Chairman and Director of the Bank of Montreal.[1]

In 1983, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.[2] In 2012, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.[3] He has also received Japan's Order of the Rising Sun in 1989.[1]
