Rajwade's first major play was in Abhraham Lincolnche Patra (a Marathi Adaptation of Abraham Lincoln's Letter). He was one of the founding members of the Natak Company. Rajwade acted and directed numerous plays with the Natak Company.

For his role in the play Dalan, Rajwade won the Thespo's award for Best Supporting Actor.

Along with doing experimental plays, Rajwade acted minor roles in Marathi films such as Udedh Bun, Bokya Saatbande, and in Hindi films like Dekh Tamasha Dekh.
