Ample Bay (54°3′S 37°23′W / 54.050°S 37.383°W / -54.050; -37.383), is a bay 1.8 nautical miles (3.3 km) wide, marked by Grace Glacier at its head, situated 2 nautical miles (4 km) east of Sunset Fjord in the southwest part of the Bay of Isles, South Georgia. A sketch of this bay was made in 1912–13 by Robert Cushman Murphy, an American naturalist aboard the brig Daisy. It was charted and named descriptively by Discovery Investigations in 1929–30.[1]
