Amybeth McNulty is an Irish-Canadian[1] actress, born to an Irish father and a Canadian mother. She hails from Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. In 2017, she starred as Anne Shirley in the CBC/Netflix series Anne based on the 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery.[1][2] McNulty is a natural blonde, contrary to the widespread public belief that she is a redhead. She dyed her hair red for her role in Anne.
McNulty has previously appeared in the RTÉ One series Clean Break and Agatha Raisin.[3]
