As of 2001 India census,[1] Anand Nagar had a population of 5026. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Anand Nagar has an average literacy rate of 48%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.
