Angela Owen-Taylor is a councillor of the Brisbane City Council, the local government authority for the City of Brisbane.[1] As councillor, she has been involved with issues such as parks,[2] business,[3] education,[4] zoning,[5] law and order,[6][7] water utilities,[8][9] traffic flow and roads,[10] environmental issues,[11] storm damage,[12] sportsfields,[13] and restoration of Brisbane's City Hall.[14][15]

Owen-Taylor is a member of the Liberal National Party.[16] She serves as Deputy Chairman of Council,[17] Deputy Chairman of the Finance, Economic Development and Administration Committee and Deputy to the Lord Mayor on Multicultural Affairs and International Relations. She represents the Parkinson Ward,[18] which stretches along the southern boundary of Brisbane City and includes Heathwood, Larapinta, Pallara, Algester, Parkinson, Willawong and parts of Calamvale, Forest Lake and Doolandella. She was elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012.
