Margaret Ann Jones AM (born 4 November 1953) is a Welsh Labour Co-operative[1] politician. Born in Rhyl, Denbighshire, Jones has represented the Vale of Clwyd constituency since the National Assembly for Wales was established in 1999. As of 2013 Jones was Chair of the Children and Young People Committee. From 2011-2013, Jones chaired the Communities, Equalities and Local Government Committee.

Her political interests include education, tourism, community safety, regeneration, social policy and the Emergency Services.

Jones was educated in Rhyl, and was a Rhyl Town Councillor and a Denbighshire County Councillor, as well as a Fire Brigades Union national official.

In the third Assembly, Jones chaired the Equality of Opportunity Committee.

Jones has had a number of positions within the Labour Party, previously serving on the Welsh Executive Committee. Since the start of the Fourth Assembly, Jones has been Chair of the Assembly Labour Group.
