Annette Verschuren, OC is a Canadian business woman. She was the President of The Home Depot Canada and the Home Depot Asia[1] and is currently the Chair & CEO of NRStor Inc.[2]

Verschuren is currently the chair of the Clean Energy Task Force for Ontario. She also serves as the Chancellor of Cape Breton University, and chairs fundraising efforts for the university's Verschuren Centre for Sustainability in Energy and the Environment (VCSEE). Her current board memberships include Air Canada, Liberty Mutual, The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation, Saputo Inc.[3] and the Conference Board of Canada.[4]

Verschuren is a native of North Sydney, Nova Scotia and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University.[5] Verschuren was appointed chancellor of Cape Breton University in 2004.[6]

She has previously served as the vice chair of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives,[7] as a member of the North American Competitiveness Council and a member of the Economic Advisory Council, a group of 11 Canadian business leaders charged with advising the Government of Canada on the 2008 global economic crisis.[8]

In 2011, she was made an Officer of the Order of Canada for her contributions to Canada’s retail industry and as a champion of corporate social responsibility."[9]
