Chaudhry Anwar Ali Cheema was born on January 1, 1935 in Sargodha. In February 2008 elections, he was elected MNA as a PML(Q) candidate which is his seventh term as an MNA. He claims to have obtained his Bachelor's degree from Government College, Lahore. He also served as District Council Chairman, Sargodha. His family consists of one son and one daughter. His Son Ch Aamir Sultan Cheema is also ex provincial minister of irrigation and is now MPA and his daughter in law Tanzeela Aamir Cheema is MNA. Ch Anwar Ali Cheema was made Federal minister of health for few days and now is Federal Minister of Production.

Political career

Ch. Anwar Ali Cheema has held the office of District council Chairman, Sargodha. He has won the election from his NATIONAL ASSEMBLY Constituency seven times consecutively. He has never lost an election since 1985-2013, which is a unique honour. Her Daughter in law Tanzeela Aamir Cheema is Niece of Ch Zahoor Ellahi and First Cousin of Ch Shujaat Hussain, she has been elected MNA 2 times. His son Ch Aamir Sultan Cheema held the office of Ministry of Livestock and Ministry of irrigation of Punjab and has been elected MPA six times.[1]
