Appi-Kōgen Station (安比高原駅, Appi-Kōgen-eki) is a JR East railway station located in Hachimantai, Iwate Prefecture, Japan.

Lines

Appi-Kōgen Station is served by the Hanawa Line, and is located 25.0 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Kōma Station.

History

Appi-Kōgen Station began on November 10, 1926 as a signal stop at the village of Matsuo, Iwate. It was opened as Ryugamori Station (龍ヶ森駅)on December 28, 1961, serving the village of Arasawa, Iwate. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the JNR on April 1, 1987. It was renamed it its present name on March 13, 1988.
