Aprosmictus is a genus of parrots in the family Psittaculidae.[1] Several former members, including the Australian king parrot, are now placed in the genus Alisterus.

Species

It contains two species and five subspecies:[1]

  • Jonquil parrot (A. jonquillaceus)
    • A. j. jonquillaceus
    • A. j. wetterensis
  • Red-winged parrot (A. erythropterus)
    • A. e. papua
    • A. e. coccineopterus
    • A. e. erythropterus
