Araucarivora gentilii is a moth in the Elachistidae family, and the only species in the genus Araucarivora. It was described by Hodges in 1997. It is found in Argentina.[1]
The forewings are dark grey brown. The tips of the scales in the distal two-thirds of the wings are pale grey and slightly grey in the basal one-third of the wing. The hindwings are darker brown than the forewings.
The larvae feed on Araucaria araucana. They mine the needles of their host plant. The mine has the form of a large blotch. The frass is deposited inside the mine. Pupation takes place inside the mine.[2]
