The Arcadia Conference (ARCADIA was the code name used for the conference), held in Washington, D.C. was a World War II strategic meeting from December 22, 1941 to January 14, 1942 between the heads of government of the United Kingdom and the United States. The delegations were headed by Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt, respectively.

Despite the recent attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States agreed that to win the war, the prime objective was the defeat of Nazi Germany (Europe first strategy). They also agreed to combine military resources under one command for the ETO (European Theater of Operations).

Another outcome of the conference was the Declaration by the United Nations on January 1, 1942 to agree to formally establish the UN.
