Cârţa (Hungarian: Karcfalva or Csíkkarcfalva, German: Kerz) is a commune in Romania, located in Harghita County. The commune comprises 2 villages:

  • Cârţa/Karcfalva
  • Ineu/Csíkjenőfalva
  • Tomeşti/Csíkszenttamás is now an independent commune.

Demographics

It has a population of 5,486, of which 5,464 (99.6%) are Székely Hungarians forming an absolute majority.
