Asherville is an unincorporated, census-designated place rural area in Mitchell County, Kansas, United States.

History

Asherville had the first store (established in 1867) in Mitchell County.[1]

The former post office in Asherville was also the oldest in the county.[1] It opened in 1869, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1980.[2]
